The expert guidance of a senior finance leader, without the salary

Regular working sessions on the numbers that drive your decisions. Pricing, hiring, owner pay, cash flow, taxes. You bring the questions; we bring the data and a recommendation.

What you get

What advisory actually covers

This is the leading edge of everything we do. The books and payroll exist so this conversation can happen.

01

Reviews when they matter

We watch your numbers every month and bring you in when there is a decision on the table. Ask before you act on a hire, a purchase, or a price change; the people answering already know your books.

02

Budgeting that gets used

An annual budget plus monthly budget-to-actual reporting, so you see drift the month it starts, not the year after.

03

KPI dashboards

Revenue growth, margins, cash flow, labor cost. The handful of numbers that actually predict your business, tracked and explained.

04

Strategic planning sessions

Goal setting with an action plan attached. Where the business goes next quarter and next year, grounded in what the numbers allow.

The way we run it

Advice first. The numbers follow.

The rhythm

Decisions we help owners make

pricing

Are your rates right?

Gross margin by service line tells you which work is worth doing and which clients are costing you money.

hiring

Can you afford the next hire?

True labor cost against projected revenue, so you hire on math instead of hope.

owner pay

Are you paying yourself correctly?

Compensation structured for tax efficiency, including reasonable-compensation analysis for S-corp owners.

cash

Where is the cash going?

Runway, receivables, and the one calculation that explains why clean books can still mean tight cash.

Straight answers

Questions owners actually ask

What does a fractional CFO or advisory service cost?

Advisory is included in our Core Package, which starts at $750 per month with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax. A dedicated in-house finance leader would cost $150,000 or more per year. If you only need advisory, we scope it separately on the first call.

How is this different from what my current accountant does?

Most accountants report on the past at tax time. Advisory means someone watching your numbers during the year and calling you with the move before the deadline. If your accountant has never called you first, that is the difference.

Do I need advisory if my business is small?

If you are under roughly $500K in revenue and the books are simple, you may not need monthly advisory yet. We will tell you that on the first call. It costs us a client to say so, which is exactly why you can trust the answer.

What do I need to prepare for a session?

Nothing. We keep your books, so we bring the numbers and an agenda. You bring what is keeping you up at night.

Our clients' reviews

Here is what they say about working with us

Jose is the best accountant I've worked with, He takes the time to explain your options, he's very attentive whenever I need help with something, highly recommended.
Christian D. Tax Client
The team at Caro and Associates are tax wizards. I thought I was going to owe almost $20k and they got me a small refund. I've been working with them as my accounting and payroll team since I opened my small Healthcare practice, Novel Eyes. Jose came highly recommended by several unconnected people and I feel like I'm in very good hands.
Dr. Lenning Optometry Practice Owner
Alba has trusted all the accounting needs to Jose and his firm which have contributed a high percentage on our success and expansion. Caro & Associates are highly recognized on their intelligence and skills of book keeping and extremely knowledgeable to locate and isolate each and every issue. We look forward to growing our business with their assistance. Highly recommended.
