Between 1975 and 1980, he was at Deloitte & Touche, where he served as an administrative manager, and as a management advisory services manager. His time at Deloitte & Touche prepared him for the variety of experiences that were to follow in the coming decades, including time spent in leadership positions soon after. For six years, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of LEDIC Management Group, and later he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Dealers Auto Auctions Group / City Enterprises and as the Chief Financial Officer of Thompson Wireless / Gorilla Games. More recently, he was a consultant in the IT and auto auction industries.
Jim relocated to Seattle in early 2016. He has since joined the Caro and Associates team, where he brings experience in tax preparation and planning, compliance reporting, estate and trust taxation, mergers and acquisitions, operational audits, tax shelter evaluations, cash flow projects, and data processing implementation. In his career, he has also taught accounting extensively, acting as an instructor and guide to aspiring accountants and accounting students. He has operated in a variety of environments, racking up experience on the local, regional, and national stages.
In addition to his ample professional experience, Jim also finds a way to maintain, show and rally a 1968 Vintage offroad Jeep/Chinook chassis camper. During rally season, Jim and his wife display at 4-6 car shows and attend 4-6 vintage vehicle multi-day rallies in the Pacific Northwest. In the Fall and Winter, Jim enjoys the solitude of solo camping in the Cascades. And if that was not enough, Jim still manages to spend quality time with his children and grandchildren.
Given his wealth of experience, Jim is sure to be an impact player at Caro and Associates, and everyone is excited to have him on board.
